2006 Banksy's “Santa’s Ghetto”, a temporary art gallery and amusement arcade founded by Banksy, was located on Oxford Street, right next door to Tottenham Court Road tube station. The artist told The Guardian “he felt the spirit of Christmas was being lost”, so the aim of this 23-day show was to exhibit some of the world’s finest underground artists and sell affordable works of art for Christmas.
